Preparation method
Hydroxypropyl starch is a chemically modified starch, which is etherified by epoxypropane and starch to replace the hydroxyl group in the polymer structure of starch and become an etherified starch.

White (colorless) powder, good fluidity, good water solubility, its aqueous solution is transparent and colorless, and has good stability. It is stable to acid and alkali, its burning temperature is lower than that of raw starch, and its cold and hot viscosity changes are more stable than that of raw starch. Mixing with salt and sucrose has no effect on viscosity. After etherification, the ice melting stability and transparency are improved.
