Description

Redispersible Polymer Powder is the most important binder in cement-based, gypsum-based dry powder materials. Redispersible Polymer Powder is a spray-dried powder of polymer emulsion. Redispersible Polymer Powder is re-emulsified with water and has the same properties as the original emulsion, that is a film can be formed after water evaporation. This film has high toughness, weather resistance and adhesion to a substrate. In addition, the latex powder with hydrophobic properties can improve the waterproof performance of the waterproof mortar.

Performance of Redispersible Polymer Powder in dry mortar:

Improve the adhesion of dry mortar to various substrates and ensure the weather resistance of mortar bond strength under various conditions of use. For example, to improve the bond strength between mortar and EPS board, EPS particles, concrete walls and brick walls in the thermal mortar;

Reduce the elastic modulus of the materials, improve the elasticity and flexibility of the materials. The material can withstand certain substrate deformation, external force impact, temperature difference deformation, and freeze-thaw deformation. If Redispersible Polymer Powder can significantly improve the dynamic anti-cracking of the putty and the heat aging resistance of the tile adhesive, the impact resistance of the EPS board insulation system;

Redispersible Polymer Powder can reduce the water absorption of the material, the special hydrophobic latex powder effect is more obvious. Reduce water and damage caused by water to the molded mortar;

Some types of Redispersible Polymer Powder can improve the sag resistance and fluidity of the mortar, in order to improve the construction performance of the mortar.

Influences Of HPMC On Gypsum Based Products.

 

Gypsum has long been used in the construction industry due to its versatility and broad applicability. It is non-toxic, fire resistant, non-combustible, and very workable and user friendly, allowing its users to create aesthetically pleasing finishes. Gypsum also has very good thermal and acoustic properties.

 

The most common uses of Gypsum products in the construction industry include gypsum premanufactured wall and gypsum ceiling plasterboards, gypsum self-leveling screeds, gypsum hand or machine applied plasters, gypsum trowelable compounds, gypsum joint fillers, and gypsum adhesives.

 

The properties and performance of Gypsum can be significantly improved using relevant additives. Michem cellulose ether products Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose (HPMC), Hydroxyethyl Methyl Cellulose (HEMC) are specially formulated high-performance additives that can transform basic Gypsum based cement products into superior construction materials with sought-after properties.

 

Gypsum Trowelable Compounds

Different from the sand and cement method traditionally used in construction, Gypsum trowelable compounds use gypsum as the basic material and high molecular polymer as the cementing material, exhibiting good compatibility and strong adhesion with the common construction surfaces.

Gypsum joint fillers are used for filling the joints in between Gypsum plasterboards or fiberboards.
